At the end of WWII, the WASP were disbanded and these remarkable women hung up their parachutes and went home. In 1977, the WASPs were finally granted the veteran status they had been promised. When the war was over, the women went home and the men got the jobs (with a higher pay.) This machinist sports an ERA button.
