November 2016 - ArtGarage
Hi again,
I am excited to tell you that I have a little display space for my paintings at the ArtGarage in Green Bay. (www.theartgarage.com). I have had my work in a few shows, but this is the first time I have ever attempted anything like this. This display will be up until the end of January 2016.
My body of work of paintings is not huge. I also have several different directions going on. I have the story paintings, which tell a visual story, the pink/green buggy leaf paintings (funky), a couple of abstracts, and (not-pictured) "story of a line and a shape" paintings (which are like a storyboard.)
I want to get better and the only way I know how to do that is to "do it" - to paint and improve my skills. Now, the big question is "what will I do with all of those extra canvases?" Hence this website and the exhibit at the ArtGarage. Here is the online address for the ArtGarage: www.theartgarage.com
I want to develop a series of paintings to show marginalization of people with physical or other challenges. You will find "disability etiquette" on my website here. As an artist, I want some of my work to make people think about the words and issues. I have a couple of ideas I would like to "vet." I might ask for some opinions here...
My best to you!!!!!
